The embargo is an agreement between the Journal and the media. The media agree to wait until Wednesday at 5 p.m. Eastern time before reporting stories based on articles appearing in that Thursday's issue of the Journal. In return, we provide members of the media who have signed our embargo agreement with expedited print copies and/or access to the online Media Center. This gives them adequate time to prepare their stories. In the event of an early release, our media subscribers will be notified by fax or e-mail of the new embargo date and time.
